General Visa Information

Welcome to the website of the Visa & Immigration Section of the Australian Embassy. The Ankara Visa office processes visa applications from nationals and legal residents of the following countries:
Turkey
Georgia

Visitors to the Visa Office will be accepted by appointment only

Counter hours are 9:00am to 11:30am by appointment only.

To apply for a visa you must lodge the appropriate application forms, the application fee and all necessary documentation. You are able to lodge your application via mail using the Turkish postal service or by any courier company.

Applicants can assist in the processing of their applications by submitting complete applications with all supporting documentation.

Applicants will be notified once a decision is made and should not make final travel arrangements until they receive written advice from our office that their visa has been granted.

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) is required by law to keep on file all documentation provided in support of a visa application. Any documents provided in an application, can therefore not be returned to the applicant. Applicants should provide certified copies of original documents that they do not wish to be kept by DIAC.

After the assessment of your application, the Australian Embassy will send your passport and the original documents to your address, payable by receiver, by UPS. Australian Embassy will not accept any responsibility for any damage/loss related to the delivery.
